Happy Holidays from The LMM Fund

Dear Friends and Supporters of The Lisa Michelle Memorial Fund,

As we take time during the holiday season to reflect on 2016, we here at the LMM Fund have so many things to be thankful for.

Although we have grown in many ways, the LMM Fund hit two major milestones this year. The first was the successful planning and execution of our 1st Annual Softball Tournament fundraiser. The tournament raised over $1,000 for our scholarship fund and brought awareness to our organization. We are excited to see the turn out for our 2nd Annual Softball Tournament in May 2017.

The second major milestone was providing our very first scholarship to a student that attends Washington State University. Every applicant had a touching story, but Micole Fuller stood out among the rest and we were proud to award her $1,000 for her academic journey. We will start accepting applications for our 2017 scholarship on January 1, 2017.

We want to continue growing and assisting students who have lost a parent to substance abuse, so we have added several events to our calendar for next year. These events will either bring awareness to our organization, raise money for our scholarships, and/or bring our friends and supporters together.

2017 Event Schedule:

#TeamLisa – Heroes in Recovery 6K (Palm Springs) – Feb 2017
#TeamLisa – Heroes in Recovery 6K (Orange County) – April 2017
2nd Annual Charity Softball Tournament – May 2017
LMM Fund Dodger Day – July 2017
#TeamLisa – Heroes in Recovery 6K (Malibu) – Sept 2017
LMM Fund 2nd Anniversary Fundraising Campaign – Sept 2017
#TeamLisa – Heroes in Recovery 6K (San Diego) – Nov 2017

These are just a few of the things that make me proud to lead The Lisa Michelle Memorial Fund. I look forward to what the future holds for this organization and to making a difference in the lives of these students.

As always, we couldn’t have done all of this without the generous donations made by individuals and organizations. All donations make a difference in the lives of students who have lost a parent to substance abuse and we are so grateful to have your support.

In the spirit of the holidays, the LMM Fund would like to wish you health and happiness this Holiday Season and prosperity in the New Year.

Sincerely,

Danielle E. Olson
