The Children of Addiction Awareness Week starts today February 12-18, 2023.

To assist in bringing awareness we wanted to share this information on the Impact of Alcohol/Opioid Use Disorder on Children.

As you may know, the Lisa Michelle Memorial Fund was founded to honor the life of Lisa who lost her battle to opioid addiction. She had four children who struggled endlessly with their mother’s addiction and felt like they didn’t have the support at that time.

The LMM Fund wants to bring awareness to organizations like The National Association for Children of Addiction (NACoA) as they offer resources for children dealing with a parent who abuses alcohol or drugs, including providing support for professionals with tools and training in order to better support individuals in pain due to alcohol and drug dependency in their families.
